Festival YUL EAT is almost here
Festival YUL EAT, presented by evenko in collaboration with Delta Air Lines and taking place from September 10th to 16th 2018, is glad to announce a new special event in its lineup: Destination Caraïbes.
The atmosphere of Festival YUL EAT will be particularly tropical on the third floor of the Société des arts technologiques (SAT), including the Satosphère (dome)! On the menu: small authentic Caribbean dishes, a rum bar and tasty cocktails, a DJ and percussionists. The goal of this festive evening? To celebrate and showcase the gastronomy, the cocktails and the music of the well-established Caribbean community and culture in Montreal.
Participating in that evening: Agrikol, Kwizinn and Local Jerk restaurants, Bouillon de saveurs and Les délices de Patrice caterers, member of collectives Oasis MTL and 5 Starz DJ Don Barbarino. In collaboration with our partners: Creemore Springs,Baileys, Tanqueray, Les viandes duBreton and Les aliments Roma. Other names will be added in the upcoming weeks.
Destination Caraïbes will be held on Friday September 14th, from 8PM to midnight. Admission price: $15 (taxes and fees included). Food and drinks available at affordable rates, sold on-site through a couponing system.
Chefs and mixologists will offer surprise workshops during each of the three services of the Parcours Gourmand – Grand Tasting experience. They will be announced 20 to 30 minutes in advance and will take place inside the Société des arts technologiques. Stay tuned!
A new addition to this year’s programming, Festival YUL EAT invites our keenest festivalgoers straight to the source: into the kitchens and workshops of some of the most passionate chefs and producers of our city. For these intimate experiences, a small number of participants will have the opportunity to closely observe our chefs and artisans behind the scenes, broadening their knowledge, and most of all, enjoying great food while getting in on the action in a most authentic atmosphere.

THE PARCOURS GOURMAND
The Parcours Gourmand, our exclusive Grand Tasting experience, assembles a highly curated selection of Montreal’s finest chefs, restaurants and local producers to delight your senses. Let your palate guide you through a circuit of 30 unique stations where chefs and artisans concoct creative bites alongside a selection of local wines, fine spirits and craft beers. Also on the menu: immersive culinary demonstrations under the Satosphere dome and surprise workshops all weekend long.

In the historic setting of the original Marché St-Laurent, 24 Quebec producers and artisans will energize the atmosphere of the Redpath Market with their passion and creativity. Between discoveries, festivalgoers will also be able to enjoy refreshing beverages from the Creemore Springs’ Biergarten to various themed bars, and attend free culinary demonstrations and mini-conferences on our Redpath Market stage.
