Laurentian Lanes Bowling Open House Invitation
Laurentian Lanes – The iconic, giant bowling pin on the roof of their building stands as a testament to over half a century of Laurentian Lanes Bowling Centers being in business. Since 1959, they have been the proven choice for bowling (recreational or competitive) in Montreal.
Over the years all of their centers, which include the Ottawa and Kingston locations, have been modernized, offering digital or computer scoring and more.
Located on Montée de Liesse, Laurentian Lanes, the first center in the chain, has weathered the test of time and remains modern and up-to-date. When it was originally built, it was a 48-lane duckpin facility, but in the mid-’60’s they converted it to 10-pin bowling and expanded the facility from 48 lanes to 66. Then during the summer of 2017, renovations took place and 8 of the lanes were converted back to duckpin.
And now they are inviting the public to check out the new lanes and their brand new scoring system and decor with an ‘open house’ next week – offering you the chance to test your skills or simply have fun and knock some pins down for only $2 a game.
Their reputation as a premiere bowling center for the public and leagues was made by keeping the condition of their lanes, service and equipment well-maintained – and by hosting numerous, prestigious tournaments and television shows including:
- L’Omnium de Quilles Canadian Tire (RDS)
- Three Star Bowling (CBC)
- L’Heure des Quilles (SRC)
- Canadian Bowling Classic (CBC)
- Pin Busters (CFCF)
- Kings & Queens (CFCF)
- Super Quilles (TVSQ)
- PBA Canadian Open
- CTF Team Canada Qualifications
Laurentian Lanes is easy to get to and there are plenty of parking spaces. Once inside you will find: 58 Tenpin (Large Ball) Lanes, 8 Duckpin (small ball) Lanes, Synthetic Lanes & Approach and Touch Screen Digital Scoring – a far cry from decades ago when score keeping was done with a pencil and scoresheet!
In addition, they offer Bumper Bowling (guaranteed scoring) for kids, Theme Bowling featuring popular ‘Angry Birds’ and Cosmos Bowling, which combines black lights and music for exciting Saturday night games. Other fun filled activities include: Billiards and Arcade games.
A great Menu selection is available at the Lester’s’ Deli including their famous Montreal smoked meat. For a little post-game relaxation or to watch your favorite sporting event, you can sit back and choose from a wide selection of beverages at the Bar 300 lounge. La Source des Quilles, a specialized boutique, is on site with bowling accessories, balls, bags and more.
To sum it up, Laurentian Lanes is a perfect score anytime… and if you know anything about bowling, it does not get better than that!
The open house takes place January 22nd to the 25th from 9:00am to 9:00pm at 222 Montée de Liesse. You can visit their website at: www.laurentianlanes.com for more information.
