Montreal 2018 summer events – JFL / Kevin Heart / Beach Boys FREE concert
Montreal 2018 summer events – The 36th edition of the Just For Laughs comedy festival is five months away, yet it didn’t stop organizers from creating an early buzz and excitement for future festival goers. First there were the announcements of the Beach Boys performing a free outdoor concert, then Kevin Hart doing a solo show at the Bell Centre on July 27.
Now the hosts have been announced for the two stalwarts of the festival’s long-running Club Series: the Ethnic Show and the Nasty Show.
Iranian-American comic Maz Jobrani, who stars in the hit CBS sitcom “Superior Donuts”, returns to the Ethnic Show as its host, Joining him as part of the show’s line-up is comic Gina Brillon, who recently appeared alongside Sugar Sammy during last year’s Just For Laughs Canadian Comedy Tour. The 10th Ethnic Show runs from July 11-22 at Club Soda for 16 performances, with three additional shows at the MTelus on July 24,25 and 26.
A favourite on the festival schedule since 1987, the Nasty Show is once again ready to shock and entertain sold-out crowds with a showcase of some of the industry’s edgiest and bluest comics around today. For this year’s edition of the Nasty Show, which will run for six performances at the MTelus from July 18 to 21, with additional shows from July 24-28, Nasty Show veteran Robert Kelly will once again return to the show, only this time as its host. And joining him will be the comic who dominated the 2016 Nasty Show, Brad Williams, who was dubbed by the late Robin Williams as “Prozac with a head”.
Tickets for both the Ethnic Show and the Nasty Show are now on sale, and can be purchased by calling 514-845-2322, or by going to: www.hahaha.com
