Grey Goose Marché Pop-up – This summer, luxury vodka brand Grey Goose will debut the first-ever GREY GOOSE MARCHÉ, a two-day pop-up PUBLIC marché in Montreal taking place all-day on Friday, June 29th and Saturday June 30th at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Terrasse (185 rue Ste-Catherine West).
The Cote D’Azur-inspired market will feature the finest quality ingredients from the world’s most famous coast, where we have partnered with premier Montreal vendors to make this all happen. At the marché, customers will be able to browse and buy seasonal fruit and vegetables, freshly-baked baguettes, premium cheeses, charcuterie, a coffee bar by Café Olimpico, French pastries from Duc de Lorraine, flavourful preserves from L’Étagère Gourmande, honey from Alvéole, lush floral bouquets from L’Atelier Florale, mouth-watering sorbet from Bilboquet, as well as a Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz cocktail bar for guests to sip and savour (please note: more vendors will be announced shortly!). This will all set against a backdrop that could easily be plucked from the streets of Nice!
Furthermore, Grey Goose will be offering a cocktail soirée experience hosted by Michelin Star Chef Christophe Dufau of the famed French Riviera restaurant, Les Bacchanales in Vence, France and Canadian GREY GOOSE Ambassador Stephanie Lamb
To give Montrealers a chance to experience Chef Dufau’s culinary excellence, the GREY GOOSE Marché dining experience will pop up at Montreal’s brand-new PASTEL restaurant – 124 McGill St. Ouest (the latest restaurant brought to you by the Le Fantôme & Ssense Café owners). On Saturday, June 30th, Chef Dufau and Canadian GREY GOOSE Ambassador, Stephanie Lamb, will co-host an exclusive, one-night only dining experience featuring signature French Riviera dishes paired with GREY GOOSE cocktails. Tickets are $150.00 and are open to the public which will include an all-inclusive seasonally inspired prix fixe menu with beverage pairings included. Chef Christophe Dufau Bio
Born in Provence, Christophe Dufau has always been interested in food, particularly the food of the French Riviera. He started cooking with his mother and grandmother at the age of nine and, for as far back as he can remember, has always wanted to be a chef. Today, Chef Dufau, full of spirit and imagination, is carrying out his most ambitious undertaking – running his restaurant with a seating capacity of 50.
After completing formal cooking school, he crossed the border and went to England where he worked with the Roux brothers at “Le Gavroche,” a three Michelin-starred restaurant. Upon returning to France to carry out his military service, he was taken on as the private chef of the Minister of French-speaking countries, Alain Decaux. His search for enriching experiences led him to work under renowned chefs, such as Bernard Loiseau at “La Côte d’Or,” a three Michelin-starred restaurant, and in two famous Relais & Châteaux restaurants, “Falsled Kro” and “Sonderho Kro,” in Denmark.
In the Summer of 2008, Christophe opened his present day “Les Bacchanales” next to the Matisse Chapel in the beautiful town of Vence on the French Riviera. Within the same year, he was awarded the Michelin star. Chef Dufau loves the products of Provence and the fresh produce from his favourite local market in which his inventiveness thrives. Inspired by the colours and flavours of the season, he creates a new menu every week, giving free reign to his imagination.
His reputation reaches far and wide; in recent years he has appeared on international television shows, participated in several Omnivore Food Festivals around the world with cooking demonstrations and master classes, and has honoured invitations as guest chef in numerous celebrated restaurants.
