Dale Boyle, local Montreal artist shines with new EP
Dale Boyle, a Montreal West Island, singer just launched a new EP called ‘’Gasoline’’. This recording was done with the help of LA Musicians Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Bob Seger, etc.) and bassist James LoMenzo (John Fogerty, Slash, David Lee Roth, etc.).
The response to the EP, and particularly the song “Gasoline” has been great (see press quotes on the song below). And recently, “Gasoline” was named a 2nd place winner in the Unsigned Only Music Competition.
There were nearly 6000 applicants from 100 countries and the judges included The Killers, Aimee Mann, etc.
This is not his first release Boyle’s other songwriting honours include being an International Songwriting Competition finalist in 2008 and 2009, being named Quebec Lys Blues Awards Folk/Blues Artist of the Year in 2005 and 2006 and winning the 2008 Quebec Lys Blues Songwriter of the Year
