Winter 2018 Exhibitions at the Never Apart Gallery
Art – The Never Apart gallery has finally unveiled its 2018 Winter exhibition collection and is having a public viewing today from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. They will be celebrating and discussing their six new exhibits which will be in their gallery this season, accompanied by artwork by “ten international and local multimedia artists”. These new exhibitions are a unique way to discover different ways artists express themselves through their creations as well as discover new emerging artists.
Artists presenting their works at the Never Apart gallery this season include Florence Yee, Mikael Owunna, Eve Tagny, David Briker and many more. Florence Yee’s work, “Sino(n)-Québécoise?”, poses questions about origin, ethnicity and where people come from. She questions both the “misguided idea of belonging into settler society and our history from her experience as part of the Cantonese diaspora”. Artist Mikael Owunna, explores the connections between the black body, the cosmos, the universe and the eternal “in the face of a world that works to annihilate the black body every single day”. David Briker explores the ways we say “I love you” to one another “through the use of modern technologies”.
