Montreal gas prices up almost 10¢ per Litre overnight
Montreal gas prices up While you were sleeping… gas prices in the Montreal area and Laval rose up to a whopping 10 cents per litre. It was the second increase this week – and once again drivers are inexplicably being squeezed at the pumps.
Checking in with Essence Quebec, who monitor gas prices across the province, some stations in Montreal are charging as much as $1.439 per litre. Drivers who were lucky enough to fill up early yesterday evening, were paying on average only $1.35 per litre. Ouch.
There are no explanations being offered as to why it is only the Montreal and Laval areas in the province seeing an increase. No other areas in Quebec have seen prices jump. The average price of regular gasoline across Quebec this morning is at $1.27 per litre. (*See Chart)
Once again, there has been no explanation as to why it is only Montreal and Laval – and why all competing gas station managed to suddenly raise their prices at the same time.
