La Champagnerie celebrated 5 years in Old Montreal this week
La Champagnerie, who opened 5 years ago on St-Paul Street in Old Montreal, has one of the longest lists of bubbly for all tastes and budgets in the city. Over the years, La Champagnerie known as “bubbly bar” specialized in bachelor(ette) partys and also opened a second location in Quebec City. Last week, they threw a massive party to celebrate their 5th anniversary. And summer weather was part of the fun.
What’s new at La Champagnerie ?
After launching in 2016 his Cuvée Make It Pop, a vintage Cava Reserva, the Old Montreal bubble bar also launched his own Champagne last year. La Champagnerie sommelier Penelope Delorme, went to France to meet Jean-Baptiste Dangin, from Paul Dangin & Fils Champagne House. Since then, a Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne named La Cuvée Sabrée is served exclusively at La Champagnerie. The two exclusivity are offered respectively at 90$ and 140$ and all guests have the opportunity to saber their own bottle the “traditional” way.
In recent years, La Champagnerie Montreal has become a must for the Bachelorettes across all of North America. The bubbly bar then decided to pamper all the ladies with brand new “bachelorette” packages that includes: bachelorette Challenge Games, pictures with our mini Polaroïd, picture in the Photo Booth Instagram «La Champagnerie» and initiation to the art of sabrage. A sharing-style menu is also offered, as the chef, Jacques Coutu, has been part of the team since its opening. The least we can say is that La Champagnerie is still going strong after 5 glorious years in Montreal, has they definitely found their niche.
