Montreal Restaurant News (August) – Three Asian eateries to try this month!
Montreal Restaurant News – Summer is far from over (in our heads) and, to keep on enjoying it the way we should, let’s schedule drinks and bites at these Asian-inspired eateries that are offering new things this month. Now… Kampaï!
Restaurant Thazard recently announced some exciting news. The Mile-End Asian Brasserie now features a brand-new menu that includes : fresh salads, a wide selection of Gyozas and Chiraschi bowls and welcomed two new chefs: Jean-Pierre Rochefort (Kaizen) and Maxime Goyette-Desjardins (Hà), that have strong Asian cuisine knowledge. Thazard also offers a new 20$ “late night” menu, “happy hour” specials every night and a large terrace to enjoy the endless summer nights.
A brand new dim sum bar, serving a traditional Chinese cuisine (with a twist), called Jiao opened its door on August 1st in Old Montreal. Jiao is offering a wide selection of dim sums in a spectacular decor. This new address is sure to become the perfect option for a quick bite, or dinner and drinks with friends. What’s not to miss: the late-night takeout window that is only “open” on weekends, for those wishing to order some Chinese specialities after their night out in Old Montreal.
Miss Wong is in “pre-opening” mode as the official opening date is scheduled at the end of the month. This Asian Brasserie is the latest project of the Lucky Belly Group (Kamehameha, Blossom, Red Tiger) and the hype around it can’t be ignored. Surprisingly, the restaurant took the old Moomba Supperclub spot and the different rooms are all offering a singular ambiance/over-the-top decor.
