BMO’s 1st Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner
BMO Bank employees, supporters, sponsors and guests alike cheered as the final sum raised of $58 500 for the BMO Thanksgiving Dinner to benefit West Island Community Shares was announced Tuesday, October 8th at Olympia Reception Hall.
This 1st edition made Community Shares’ history as the highest attended sit-down fundraiser with over 350 guests. Needless to say that this sold out event would not have been possible without its many sponsors, partners as well as the immense BMO Bank team effort.
Special guests Daniel Hould-Lovretin, outgoing 12 year-old with cerebral palsy and his mother Mary, shared their experience as members of the Pointe-Claire Chapter of the Association Québécoise de la Voile Adaptée, one of the 36 organisations supported by Community Shares. Invitees shed a few tears and witnessed first-hand the positive impact West Island groups have in our community.
The dinner was also accompanied by a silent auction and exciting live auction. BMO and West Island Community Shares would like to thank its Diamond sponsor “Jet Connected”, TUX Productions for its DJ services, The Beat 92.5FM, PDI, IGA and the many supporting sponsors who with their contribution have helped make the event a grand success!
