Make-A-Wish Quebec gift wrapping campaign huge success
Make-A-Wish Quebec – Thanks to the efforts of more than 800 elves, Make-A-Wish Quebec is proud to announce that the gift wrapping campaign raised more than $78,000. Throughout the month of December, volunteers were at five shopping malls: Alexis Nihon, Carrefour Industrielle Alliance, Eaton Center, Place Longueuil and Place Montreal Trust. The generosity of volunteers and donors will allow us to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
In total, over 5,000 volunteer hours were needed to fulfill the 24 days of the campaign. Our elves were particularly busy over the last 4 days, during which thousands of gifts were wrapped. “Many volunteers have been with us since the beginning of this project! Every year, we see how generous people from here are with their time and their donations. It’s truly heartwarming to see that our cause brings together so many people,” says the project coordinator, Christiane Badaoui.
Make-A-Wish Quebec sincerely thanks all those who participated in this campaign. It is thanks to a collective effort that we can fully achieve our mission!
