Montreal Coldest week in history – Hold on to your long underwear as Environment Canada has issued an extreme COLD warning for Montreal and most of Southern Quebec.
Just imagine working on a Hydro line or loading a plane at the Dorval Airport in this weather. At -27 its almost impossible to stay warm but some how these brave men and women do it. Your plane is taking off on time and you have electricity to stay warm.
The last time Montreal saw temperatures as cold as this in December was back in 1993 with an average of -20 without windchill. Environment Canada says there is a cold Arctic airmass positioned right over the whole province of Quebec. Environment Canada says with winds the temperature could reach a low of -44.
Keep all skin covered to avoid frost bite. Dress in layers and make sure your clothing breaths to avoid sweating.
