Named one of OpenTable’s “100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America for 2016,” Ocean at Cape Arundel Inn & Resort features inventive cuisine and a warm atmosphere with stunning views of the Atlantic. This season, Executive Chef Pierre Gignac will debut a spring menu that reveres the coastal Maine oceanic harvest with French-inspired simplicity. Featured dishes include Chef’s creative take on classic dishes such as Lobster Thermidor with Jerusalem artichokes and English mustard cream; Rock Crab Velouté with Peekytoe Crab in a lemongrass-scented bisque, Duck Magret with duck-sour cherry croquette, and Sapphire Salmon baked “en Crôute” with forest mushroom duxelle.
On April 21, Ocean will host Pierre’s Table, a special three-course dinner and cocktail reception with Chef Pierre Gignac. The communal dinner party starts at 6:30pm and features dishes inspired by Chef Gignac’s Franco-Canadian heritage and French cuisines. Tickets are $50 per person. Optional wine pairing is an additional $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased here.
Cape Arundel Inn & Resort offers travellers two distinct locales: the Main House located in a 19th century Victorian mansion on the exclusive Ocean Avenue, overlooking the crashing surf of the Atlantic, or the Club House, opening on May 19, tucked away on 15 wooded acres in a secluded cluster of grand Kennebunkport summer estates. On May 1, the Cape Arundel Inn & Resort will unveil six new Rockbound Bungalows with ocean view balconies located in the single-level annex adjacent to Main House.
The Cape Arundel Inn & Resort has a variety of amenities between the two locations, located only a few minutes apart, including an outdoor pool, a clubhouse featuring a vintage pool table, full bar, and library, and a large front porch with all-American views of Walker’s Point on which guests can enjoy tea or sunset cocktails.
