Montreal’s latest luxury hotel – AC HOTELS by Marriott
AC HOTELS by Marriott, a design-led European lifestyle hotel brand from Marriott International, debuted in Canada last week with the opening of AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville, offering unmistakable urban spirit and blending contemporary design with cosmopolitan sophistication. AC HOTELS by Marriott Montréal Centre-Ville adds to the brands growing global portfolio of more than 120 hotels across Europe, South America and North America. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal on Boulevard René-Lévesque, just steps away from the Quartier des Spectacles. Toronto Times visited the property the day of the inauguration.
AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville is a brand-new hotel located on the first twelve floors of a 35 -story dual-use high-rise that also includes luxury apartments on René-Lévesque boulevard. The hotel has been designed with creative, well-traveled, entrepreneurial spirits in mind. The property offers 169 sleek oversized guest rooms with hardwood floors, large walk-in showers, floor to ceiling windows, and 50-inch HDTV featuring HBO. The hotel offers only two room types : standard (one king/two queens) or suites, all very wide, comfortable and very minimalist. The philosophy of AC Hotels is : “if an item isn’t an absolute necessity in the room, it doesn’t belong”.
Additional features offered at AC Hotel Montreal Centre-Ville include:
AC Kitchen: Where a hot & cold buffet-style breakfast is served daily for a cost of 20$ per person.
Restaurant La Palma:A tapas-inspired restaurant located on the lobby level (it is also a unique feature to Montreal AC Hotel ) where guests can enjoy Mediterranean-inspired cuisine by Chef David Capel.
AC Lounge: A relaxing and design-oriented lounge where guests can work, relax, or enjoy a cocktail or a selection of wines by the glass.
Swimming Pool: A gorgeous swimming pool is located on the 12th floor of the hotel, offering panoramic views of Old Montreal. It is also the only 21-meter swimming pool in the city, offering a dry sauna, exterior terrace and exercise room nearby.
Toronto Times truly enjoyed the new AC Hotel by Marriott. The night average rate will range for 199$-350$, the location is hard to beat, the views and amenities are great and the rooms are gorgeous, if you enjoy the minimalist look and feel. And we do.
