JoshuaDavid Celebrate Five year Anniversary
By Alyssa De Rosa – mtltimes.ca
Westmount’s JoshuaDavid contemporary and fashionable boutique is now five-years-old! Young owners Joshua Fagan and David Archer have built a prestigious reputation among fashionistas and retailers over the years with their commitment to unique pieces and offering their clientele a personal shopping experience. To mark their five year anniversary, JoshuaDavid teamed up with acclaimed Montreal-based fashion designer Travis Taddeo who designed a piece exclusively for the occasion.
It was a soirée of glitz and glamour, with fabulous people sipping on wine and champagne and chatting it up – making new connections and rekindling with old friends. A celebration that took place in style of course accompanied by great food and great music.
I had the opportunity to ask the young, successful businessmen a few questions about their experience in fashion:
1. How can you describe your brand to others who aren’t as familiar with it? What makes you stand out from others?
As Montreal’s premier destination for contemporary labels, JoshuaDAVID consistently delivers exciting new products from established and emerging designers as well as exclusive and limited-edition offerings to a loyal customer base. The always warm and upbeat experience at JoshuaDAVID is further enhanced by impeccable service from the friendly and knowledgeable team of personal shoppers striving to elevate your individual wardrobe and sense of style.
2. How was it like teaming up with Travis Taddeo?
We really enjoyed working with Travis, it was a seamless process and we both have a strong understanding of what women want to wear. Naomi was a combination of Taddeo’s aesthetic of minimal lines and distinctive fabrics with our boutiques best-selling features.
3. Do you feel you accomplished everything you wanted thus far seeing as it’s your 5-year anniversary?
We are very happy with who we’ve become over the past five-years but as entrepreneurs I am not sure if we will ever feel accomplished, there is just so much we want to do 🙂
4. What is the next 5-year plan?
We’d love to expand within Montreal, collaborate with more local talent, and continue building our online store.
5. Who are your biggest fashion inspirations – local and international?
We’re inspired by great Canadian success stories like Travis Taddeo, Smythe and the many other great Canadian talents.
6. You are both young and successful entrepreneurs – what advice would you give people who are looking to follow a similar path?
Remember that it won’t always be easy, but the best things in life never are.
