Wine resolutions for 2019 #wine2019
Everyone knows how hard it is to keep to their New Year’s resolutions. But if those resolutions involve drinking more wine… it might make things a little easier.
Explore new horizons. Try a new wine! Whether it is a wine variety you’ve never had or an unfamiliar blend from your favourite region, try something new! If you want this year to be more adventurous, you don’t need to go all the way obscure. Instead, grab yourself a bottle of Aglianico, Nebbiolo or any variety you haven’t tried already and give it a go!
Toast More. Make the time to celebrate anything…and add wine to it. Psychologists say one of best ways to manage stress is having great social interactions. So gather with friends for happy hour, game night, or supper. Make time for the people you love and drink more wine with them.
Enjoy whatever you like. Some people of the wine establishment and elite drinkers think drinking wine is a contest. Tasting wine is a personal, individual experience. You bring taste buds, history, levels of knowledge to your wine experience. Don’t feel judged. If you enjoy it, it is a good wine for you. Wine snobs are to be ignored
Buy more private imports. Put together a few of your close friends and start a monthly private imports wine program. There is an exciting wine world beyond the SAQ for every taste and palate.
Drink more sparkling and rose wines. Don’t limit rose and sparklers for summer, festivities or special occasions. Make an effort to include them every day of the year.
