On Friday July 25th the Montreal Science Centre hosted the 1st edition of the Latin Canadian International Fashion Week, from July 21st to 26th.
International designers showcased their latest collections, such as Michel Desjardins, Marilyne Baril, Arianne Lingerie, Filthy Haanz and Mestiza Style Montréal, just to name a few.
The Latin-themed show had a mix of runway, folkloric dances, live bands and DJ Sabrina Sabotage spinning between the acts. I had the chance to meet with the event’s spokesperson and singer/songwriter, Dominique Hudson, who gave a live performance of his French songs accompanied by the Cuban Martinez Show band.
Guests were introduced to some of the Latin dance moves, and even some Latin American finger-licking food was served throughout the night. The Latin Canadian International Fashion Week (LCIFW) will take place twice a year, produced by the Quebec fashion designer Charo Palomino, in Montreal and Peru.

Simple experiment: Science center + Latin + Fashion = Hot! Hot! Hot!
