Montreal Snow storm alert – According to the Environment Canada weather alert we are expected to receive a few centimetres of snow. Montreal Snow storm alert low pressure system developing over the Central United States will track toward the coast of New England on Tuesday as it intensifies. According to the latest analyses, this system will hit much of Southern, Central and Eastern Quebec with snow beginning Tuesday morning. Snowfall amounts expected through Wednesday evening could exceed 15 and even 30 centimetres over a number of areas, especially from the Eastern Townships to the Gaspe Peninsula.
In addition, strong northeasterly winds will develop resulting in widespread blowing snow.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
