For the first time in Quebec, and after seven sold out shows at the Olympia de Paris, the Irish dance troupe, Celtic Legends, will perform in several venues throughout the Province, including the Montreal Casino Cabaret on April 11th.
Celtic Legends is a troupe born in 2001 and made up of 14 dancers and 5 musicians on stage, making it a great dance performance. This group has traveled the world by performing more than 2,000 times, in front of 2 million spectators. The choreographies are signed Jacintha Sharpe and the music is composed by Sean McCarthy.
In this production, you will discover the traditional Irish dance, as if you were there! The critics are unanimous. This choreographic and musical folklore is the foundation of the Irish heritage. There is a bit of Ireland exposed on stages from around the world. The 100% live show brings a touch of originality very dynamic, creating an osmosis with the public.

A short story: The tap dance appeared at the end of the eighteenth century. Often compulsory at school, the technique is complex and those that you will see on stage, control it perfectly. Why dance while keeping the arms glued to the body? The explanation is historical. The English occupant, in the twelfth century, wanted to eradicate Irish culture. Those who danced, behind a bar or at their window, kept the bust stiff, as if nothing had happened, while their legs were riding. The musical culture was thus preserved.
