Planetarium – The Astronomy Society of Montreal in collaboration with the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium have organized an exclusive event to observe the stars at the Montreal Planetarium. If Mother Nature allows it, you’ll be able to see the Moon and the Sun through a telescope and take part in many activities created for the families attending.
The event is geared towards families with children aged between 6 and 13 years of age. Children must always be accompanied by an adult during the entire length of the event. Prices are 15$ for members of the SAPM and 30$ for non-members. Currently, the event is fully booked, but there is a waiting list that will guarantee you a space if one frees up. If you’re attending the event on Saturday night, don’t forget to bring your sleeping bag to sleep under the stars in the dome. Before bed time, there will be a ton of surprises, including a mystery bag of the solar system, making your own alien and creating stars.
The event will be held on both December 2nd and December 3rd . If you’re not able to make it onto the waiting list for December’s event, make sure to check the Planetarium’s schedule for a second one in March.
