KidCon – The ultimate Fan convention

KidCon, the ultimate fan convention for children between the ages of 3 and 12, as well as their families, presents its 3rd edition on October 21 and 22 indoors at the Stade Uniprix, located at 285 Gary Carter Street (formerly Faillon Street).

KidCon will feature a multitude of booths and exhibitors that offer the latest toys and products for children to check out (and for parents to purchase in advance for Christmas), as well as a variety of shows, games (both video and tabletop), movies, live animals, inflatables, physical activities and personal appearances by several popular children’s literature and movie characters.

New attractions to this year’s KidCon include a Walt Disney Studios booth where kids can preview several upcoming Disney theatrical blockbusters (including the animated feature “Coco”); a special celebration of the 60th anniversary of Dr. Seuss’ milestone book “The Cat in the Hat”; a culinary workshop with Chocolate Favoris; a “My Little Pony” booth; a KidCon Escape Room; a Rabbids Amusement Centre that features a Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle video game experience; a Playmobile Zone; a chance to learn about the world of theatre with the Geordie Theatre School; and appearances by Youppi!, the Montreal Canadiens’ popular, lovable mascot.

Other KidCon attractions this year include meet and greets with Chase and Skye from “Paw Patrol” and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; live shows starring Thea Stilton, Geronimo Stilton and Bob the Builder; a cap customizing booth with the L&P apparel company; a chance to be a TV weather presenter at the CTV booth; the Messageries ADP Book Booth, where kids can meet several popular kids’ book authors and illustrators and get the chance to discover their respective books; and a Pedalheads bicycle obstacle course, along with a costume parade, Mad Science, a robotics camp, a crafts station, a make your own jewellery workshop and plenty of prizes and giveaways.

Tickets for the 3rd annual KidCon are $23 for one-day single passes, $45 for preview passes, $75 for a family of 4 single day pass, and $93 for a family of 5 single day pass; children two years of age and under are admitted free of charge.
