Le Bar Sans Nom

Le Bar Sans Nom is a bar on Parc avenue with, as its unofficial name suggests, has no name. It is situated between Fairmount and St-Viateur street. The bar is part of the Montreal’s speakeasy scene and has a decor which is inspired by the Havana Club pre-revolution and the Ottoman Empire. The bar is decorated with beautiful plants, and as you walk in, you are greeted with huge exotic plants which you have to make your way through. This bar is perfect for a first date, sipping on one of their signature cocktail from the house. It’s also a place where you’ll bump into people that you already know because of its perfect location in the heart of the Mile-End.

The Henden

The Henden is the new hidden bar of the Bird Bar situated in Griffintown. The Henden is usually hard to find and people tend to find themselves in front of the Bird Bar. If you get completely lost, staff from the Bird can guide you down a dark alley way which will lead to an unmarked door, the Henden. Every night there’s a different password to access the Henden, most of the time the Bird Bar shares the password on their Facebook page, or you can ask the staff. The Henden is inspired by Williamsburg lounges in New York, the decor has a Moroccan inspired look to it with open brick walls. The A Bar is small hidden bar in the Plateau, situated on Rachel and Hôtel de Ville streets. The A bar is the most discreet bar, usually attracting a local crowd and has few seating spaces. The bar has a fantastic selection of local wines, as well as signature cocktails and cheap beer. The A Bar is perfect for an intimate first date or for a gathering of a few friends. Le 4ème Mur is the ultimate hidden bar in Montreal. In order to find their address, you have to access their website and enter your email so they can send you the secret location. The 4ème Mur hosts a New-York speakeasy atmosphere, with a open brick wall and wood decor. Le 4ème Mur is the perfect location to impress people with an exciting secret location in Montreal. The underground location of the bar contributes to its mysterious vibe. Le Mal Nécessaire

Le Mal Nécessaire is a hidden bar located in Chinatown. As you walk by it, you would never guess that it’s a chic cocktail bar. The place greats you with a huge pineapple green neon light, which is its signature sign, and to access the bar, there is a hidden staircase, which will take you underground. Le Mal Nécessaire is inspired by the “tiki bars”, offering a mix of exotic cocktails and a polynesian decor.
