Artists presenting their works at the Never Apart gallery this season include Florence Yee, Mikael Owunna, Eve Tagny, David Briker and many more. Florence Yee’s work, “Sino(n)-Québécoise?”, poses questions about origin, ethnicity and where people come from. She questions both the “misguided idea of belonging into settler society and our history from her experience as part of the Cantonese diaspora”. Artist Mikael Owunna, explores the connections between the black body, the cosmos, the universe and the eternal “in the face of a world that works to annihilate the black body every single day”. David Briker explores the ways we say “I love you” to one another “through the use of modern technologies”. For more information about the artwork, click here to access their website and click here to RSVP to the official Facebook event. Enjoy !
