Highly-anticipated Marcus Restaurant opened in Four Seasons Hotel Montreal
The Canadian debut of the New York based chef is a modern brasserie that combines Marcus Samuelsson’s signature approach to the dining experience with fresh inspiration from the city’s markets, port, surrounding forests and farmland. MARCUS restaurant and its stunning terrace that overlooks Leonard Cohen’s mural in downtown Montreal are now open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The decor is absolutely spectacular, the ambiance is hard to beat and the menu is everything you can expect from a chic and world class hotel such as The Four Seasons.
Restaurant Lloydie’s is now serving brunch
The delicious and friendly Jamaican restaurant Llyodie’s recently opened a second location on Crescent street. It is colourful, it is warm, it is good and in every dish you can taste one very important ingredient : love. This family-owned restaurant, who specialized in jerk chicken and beef patties, decided, not so long ago, to start serving… brunch on Saturday. And guess what? It is spectacular and mouth-watering. The pumpkin pancakes are delicious, the chicken waffles are spectacular and they even nailed their Jamaican version of the açai bowl. A delicious, earthy, simple yet tasty brunch served and made with love.
A new (winning) concept recently opened in the old Terraza
This new address by the Antonopoulous group (Bevo, Perché, Maggie Oakes…) offers a selection of primi, pasta dishes, Italian specialties and imported wines in a garden-feel decor. Located directly on busy Place Jacques-Cartier, Jacopo has everything to please those visiting, or not, Montreal. The large outdoor patio will certainly be a hit this summer for people-watching in the most crowded street of Old Montreal, and their inspiring cocktail list, friendly staff and inspiring menu will certainly be a hit in that area that has been missing solid restaurant concepts for too long.
A new Mexican restaurant opened in Old Montreal
La Catrina, inaugurated at the beginning of May 2019, is serving “tacos and cocktails” inspired by the owner’s birth country, Mexico. The restaurant offers a large outdoor terrace, a lounge/bar section and a 40-seat dining room. The menu is meant to be shared and discovered as the tacos can be enjoyed 2 for 10$. La Catrina will also be throwing “margaritas” happy hours and serve tacos “to go” by the order-out window.
Richmond’s terrace is now open with a new summer-menu
The chicest terrace in Montreal officially opened for the season on May 8th. Offering an unbeatable ambiance and a decor that will remind you of South Beach, Restaurant Richmond, that has been throwing the best parties for almost a decade now in bustling Griffintown, also launched a summer-inspired menu that will perfectly accompany your sexy summer nights. Sharing platters, fresh salads, tartares, everything is there to pair with your glass of rosé, enjoyed in the hot Montreal summer nights.
