Le Blossom Bar – This might be Montreal’s most beautiful new bar in town ! Le Blossom Bar is an all new Sake Bar, bringing novelty to the Village in Downtown Montreal. This restaurant-bar concept, invites you to take your time enjoying their Japanese inspired menu, their long list of sakes and the mind-blowing decor. The decor is inspired by the Cherry Blossom trees in Japan during Spring and adds to its original style. The owners wanted to create a futuristic yet traditional environment in one space. The style of the bar is clean and minimalist with a magnificent cherry blossom tree in the middle of the bar, offering an organic touch to the restaurant. At age 26, the twins Viet Truong and Nam Truong are not only co-owners of the establishment, but also the chefs to whom we owe the menu of Blossom. Although we can enjoy here more conventional dishes such as udon soups or superb plates of sashimi, we come mostly Blossom for Temakis, also called ” Handrolls“. The “handroll” looks like a maki before being cut into individual portions – high quality nori, homemade fluffy rice and fresh fish; as soon as the handroll is finished and placed on your plate, it is recommended to eat it immediately. The result is crisp, fresh, tasty, we take full advantage of the freshness of the ingredients – definitely a favourite! The handrolls are only served in the 21 seats of the bar, the other seats in the room are for those who wish to try other items on the menu. Blossom also offers two delicious desserts, courtesy of Go Sato. We eat here for between $ 4 and $ 6 for handrollsIndividuals, $ 14 and $ 19 for a selection of chefs. The Blossom also offers one of the largest sake cards in the city (!), As well as a very good selection of wine, designed by the talented 21-year-old sommelier Derek Vaillancourt Onderjchak. In terms of cocktails , the famous mixologist Lawrence Picard prepares as usual, original drinks and makes full use of traditional Japanese spirits, juices and original concepts.
