International Fireworks competition – The firm Grupo Luso Pirotecnia du Portugal was awarded the Gold Jupiter at the Finale des Étoiles Loto-Québec that took place tonight at La Ronde. The firm Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics Displays from Australiagrabbed the Silver Jupiter and Atlas PyroVision from the United States won the Bronze Jupiter.
The 35th edition of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec in collaboration with Tim Hortons closing ceremony was followed by a special performance by Gregory Charles and a 30-minute out-of-competition fireworks presentation to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Casino de Montréal by Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks – Panzera.
Since the beginning of the competition, 19 jury members comprised of people from different regions of Quebec had the responsibility to evaluate the six participating firms. In addition, L’International’s top management awarded the best soundtrack mention to Atlas PyroVision from the United States for Spirit of the Jungle. The “green” mention was awarded to Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics Displays from Australia for the production of plastic-free products and its recycling initiatives.
The Portugal was awarded the Gold Jupiter for StayTuned
This year, Grupo Luso Pirotecnia from the Portugal took the honors by winning the Gold Jupiter. The firm won the hearts of the spectators and the jury by offering one of the most spectacular pyrotechnic performance with Stay Tuned. Thus, after winning the Silver Jupiter in 2002 and 2012, Portugal now joins the ranks of previous firms who have won the Gold Jupiter.
Australia won the Silver Jupiter with Shapeshifter!
The firm Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics Displays from Australia dazzled spectators with beautiful fireworks displays and a captivating soundtrack. Winner of the Silver Jupiter in 2008 and Bronze in 2011, the Australian firm took home the Silver Jupiter.
The Bronze Jupiter goes to The United States for Spirit of the Jungle
After a show-stopping performance in 2012, for which they won the Gold Jupiter,Atlas PyroVision came back with an energizing pyromusical performance and a captivating soundtrack featuring songs that captured the spirit of the jungle.
