Big Brother Big Stister of the West Island benefit from McHappy Day

Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island (BBBSWI) will receive proceeds from McHappy Day. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Cassir, owners of 6 McDonalds restaurants who, every year, generously donate McHappy Day proceeds to a local children’s charity.

 

On Wednesday May 4th, 2016, participating McDonald’s will donate $1 from the purchase of every McCafé beverage, Happy Meal, and Big Mac to Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island.

Proceeds from McHappy Day will support the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring programs that are offered to the community at no charge.

 

About Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island: As Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizens. Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island has been creating friendships since 1975 by matching mentors known as “Big Brothers or Big Sisters” with children known as “Little Brothers and Little Sisters”. Services have grown to include a variety of different programs that help children develop into upstanding citizens. Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island is a non-profit organization that relies on donations, fundraising activities, Centraide and West Island Community Shares in order to provide much needed mentoring programs to the children and youth of our community.

 

If you’d like to volunteer as Big Brother or Big Sister, all it takes is a minimum of 2 hours/week, please call: 514-538-6100 ext. 33 and let them know that you would love to be a mentor and put a smile on a “Little’s” face.
