Montreal – As part of the Campbell Concerts, the Montreal Metropolitan Orchestra will be performing a very special concert at the top of the Mont-Royal. With a breath-taking view over the city, you will not want to miss this one of a kind concert. The Campbell concerts have been around since 1924 thanks to the generosity of a Montreal based lawyer, M Charles S. Campbell, who was passionated about classical music. When he passed away, part of his heritage went to the city funds destined to outdoor concerts in Montreal.
This summer’s concert will be directed by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. There will be three pieces by Tchaïkovski, performed throughout the evening:
Tchaïkovski, Polonaise d’Eugène Onéguine
Tchaïkovski, Suite pour orchestre no 4, « Mozartiana »
Tchaïkovski, Symphonie no 4
The concert will be completely FREE of charge, you only need to make your way up the mountain to listen to the concert. The concert will take place on Friday July 27th 2018 from 8:00 pm until 10:15 pm, so don’t forget to mark your calendars to enjoy a live concert against the sun setting over Montreal.
