Strangers in the Night 2018 with Boy George and Culture Club

Strangers in the Night 2018 – Since 2005, Strangers in the Night has been one of the largest and most anticipated charity fundraising events in town. To date they have raised $4 million for Montreal children’s charities – and this summer’s event will only raise those numbers.

Guest are treated to gastronomic delights with close to 80 participating restaurants masterfully cooking up their specialties, preparing everyone for a night full of great music and dancing. Last year’s headline act, Styx (with Gowan), was an enormous success and this year’s act will not disappoint.

Every year they bring it up a notch with internationally renowned artists – and for the 14th edition of Strangers in the Night they are proudly presenting renowned songwriter/performer Boy George with super group Culture Club. Together they gained international success in the 80’s until the band was dissolved in 1986, but now Montrealers (especially those who know their ‘Karma Chameleon’ from ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’) will have the opportunity to get their groove on. Special guests also include Crystal Waters, an American house and dance music singer and songwriter, best known for her 1990’s dance hits ‘Gypsy Woman’ and ‘100% Pure Love’, as well as jazz, dance/electronic sensation Freddie James who should inspire you to ‘Get Up and Boogie’.

Past musical performers include Kool and the Gang, Blue Rodeo, KC and The Sunshine Band, Nikky Yanovsky, Devine Brown, Martha Wash and a host of top rated Montreal bands including Boogie Wonderband, Rob Brennan and jazz great Wally Muhamed.

Due to land expropriation at Fairview Pointe Claire for the Light Rail project, where they held the event for the past 9 years, they have to change locations – but are looking forward to a new chapter for Strangers in the Night. Starting this year, the August 25th event will be held in Pierrefonds at the Borough Hall, 13665 Pierrefonds Blvd.

The event website will be up and running this Friday, but for table reservations you can contact Ellen at 514-233-7535. For General Admission tickets go to:
