TED Talks – Montreal has already been the hosts to a few TED Talks, and they have always been extremely successful and well received amongst Montrealers. This year, the Phi Centre will welcome their first TEDxMontrealSalon event of 2018 on Tuesday March 13th. TED Talks are an entertaining way to broaden your horizons and discover new perspectives on global issues and opinions from across the world. You’ll also be able to hear new scientific break-troughs and personal exploits from guest speakers.
TEDxMontrealSalon will be an intimate evening, designed to spark discussion, debate and action around ideas through a unique mixture of talks, workshops and interactive experiences. The lineup to this year’s first TEDx includes Mylène Paquette, the first person from the Americas to successful undertake a solo crossing of the North Atlantic Ocean on a rowboat. She will share her experience, how she prepared for the adventure and the risks and problems she came across during her journey. The event will take place from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm on March 13th.
