Market – The festivities during this time of year are a great way to spend time with family and friends. Most of the time we like to share and offer gifts to those who mean a lot to us, why not try and make this year’s gifts trash free to help the environment ? Zero waste gifts could include objects to help a person live a more trash-free lifestyle, or it could be an “experience gift”, such as a concert ticket, or a unique activity they have never done before. If your loved one wants a specific gift which is not zero waste, why not gift wrap it in newspaper or in a reusable cloth ?
To help you with your zero waste Christmas, Café Le 5e is offering you a trash-free Christmas market. Local artists and craftsmen will be selling their products which will help you to reduce, reuse and recycle. There will be FREE creative workshops for children from the age 5. From 10:30 a.m until noon, bring your own bag to decorate them with repurposed materials and from 1:30 p.m until 3:00 p.m, create your own Christmas decorations for your tree or your house. Your children can arrive at anytime while the activities are going on.
There will also be tastings from local producers available at the Christmas market. From 11:00 a.m until 1:00 ppm, patries from Lily Jardins, vegan products from Gusta and homemade vegan cheeses will be available to taste. From 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m, Kombuchas fro Gutsy Kombucha and cereal barres from Naak will be on display. From 3:00 p.m until 5:00p.m, make sure to stop by to taste fermented products from Tout Cru Atelier de Fermentaion and organic chocolate from Distribution Equitable. The complete list of all artists at this year’s zero waste Christmas market will be posted throughout the week, so make sure to RSVP to the official Facebook event to stay up to date with any further information.
