Film – One of my favourites parts about Summer in Montreal are all of the exciting outdoor events being organised, especially during the evening. Cinema Du Parc is making the most of the warmer days, and is organising, alongside Parc at Midnight, three consecutive nights of screening “A Clockwork Orange” by Stanley Kubrick in the Jeanne-Mance Parc. On June 8th and June 9th, the screenings will take place at 11.30 pm and on Sunday June 10th, the screening will happen at 2:30 pm. This event is a great way to make the most of Summer weather and gorgeous evenings outside.
Based on a novel, Stanley Kubrick’s film stars Malcom McDowell, Patrick Magee and Michael Bates. The protagonist Alex DeLarge is an “ultraviolent” youth in futuristic Britain. As with all luck, his eventually runs out and he’s arrested and convicted of murder and rape. While in prison, Alex learns of an experimental program in which convicts are programmed to detest violence. If he goes through the program, his sentence will be reduced and he will be back on the streets sooner than expected… Attend the film screenings to find out what happens next… Enjoy !
