Ancient Future Festival 2017: An Eco-Friendly Electro Festival

Ancient Future Festival 2017 With the frenzy and effervescence of the city centre on one side and the flow of the Saint Laurent on the other, the Quai de l’Horloge in the Old Town seems to have fallen asleep. This is where Ancient Future Festival 2017 comes in to make you dance all night long to their electro music. The festival is multidisciplinary, combining music, visual arts and circus art. The festival wants to convey a different way of thinking about our society through the creation of an ephemeral utopian space, on the border between values of the past and our future.

Ancient Future Festival is also an eco-responsible and wants to limit its impact on our environment. All of their suppliers are from Quebec and the organisation strongly encourages people to use public transport instead of their cars. In order to reduce landfill waste, part of installations and set ups will be reused in future editions and in the upcoming edition. Bins with compost, recycling and landfill options will be provided on the entire site, and returnable eco-cups will be given out each time you buy a drink.

The festival will take place between September 8th and September 9th at the Quai de l’Horloge in the Old Town. There will be three stages: Boom Box stage, Solotech stage and Hangar 16 stage.
