Come and participate in the largest indoor Caribbean Food and Culture Festival in Canada.
Caribbean Festival Week comes to Montreal from May 12, 2014 to May 18, 2014 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the TOTC. A Taste of the Caribbean Festival held each year in Montreal celebrates the tastes, smells, sights and sounds of the Caribbean.
This year’s theme is “GOIN’ DOWN SOUTH” and will make the ethnic link of the culture of the South of the Border to the culture of the Southern Caribbean.
Food from the Caribbean Islands, New Orleans, Brazil, Mexico and Africa prepared by visiting Celebrity Chefs and local Chefs and Restaurants will be featured along with Jazz Bands, Steelbands, Brazilian costumed dancers, live cultural shows, Exhibitors, travel agents and more are all part of this spectacular Caribbean Festival.
Calypso Rose, the Calypso Queen of the World, who is world renowned for her great hits and performances, will be the special guest artist at the Festival on Sunday, May 18 and will receive the TOTC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dance Caribe Performing Company celebrates their 25th Anniversary in style by being the featured Dance Company on the Festival stage. Food, music, and dance will all be part of this great Caribbean explosion of colour, fun and flavours.
Celebrity and local Chefs will be featured throughout this fabulous festival.
Festival Weekend from May 16 to 18 will be held at La Plaza Centre-Ville – EVO Square Victoria (Formerly The Delta Hotel Centre-Ville) – 777 University Street, Montreal, Qc. Metro: Square Victoria – Parking downstairs.
