Relay – Every year the McGill Cancer Society and the McGill Athletics team organise a fundraising relay for cancer research and survivors. This year’s race will take place on Saturday January 27th and will be located at the Tomlinson Fieldhouse on the McGill University campus. This year’s relay will be the fifth consecutive Relay for Life organised by students. They will be fundraising to bring awareness to the illness but also to remember and celebrate those who are affected by cancer.
To join this important event, you can take part by joining a fundraising team and show your support by purchasing a luminary for 5.00$ on their website or by making a donation at their events. Last year, the McGill Cancer Society succeeded in raising 20,000$ through their annual relay for cancer, this year, help them raise even more by brining your friends and family along for a good cause. Every Relay for Life run includes a “Victory Lap” to honour cancer survivors from McGill and the Montreal community as well as a Luminary Ceremony and many more fun activities to take part in.
