Snowmobile jumping in Montreal continued it’s year long anniversary celebration this weekend passed, by showcasing nutty adrenaline junkies flying down Union street on snowmobiles, up a series of three ramps with death defying tricks, over Sainte-Catherine street, pulling off extreme stunts in between. An estimated ten thousand spectators packed into Square Phillips to witness snowmobile jumping with riders from Canada, America and Sweden do what most people would never so much as dare dream about doing. Among the assortment of tricks on display, were a variety of hands free ditties, some fancy footwork, and three variations of back-flip. Amazingly, the only injury was a minor knock to the back of one the riders, occurring on a slightly askew landing – yet the jarring rattled the bones enough to keep him out of Sunday’s event.
