Dorval remembers

Last Monday, November 11, at the 11th hour, Dorval Mayor Edgar Rouleau, members of the council, members of Dorval legion branch 245, dignitaries, representing federal and provincial governments, and a great number of citizens including a troup of girl guides, and the students of Dorval Elementary school gathered at the cenotaph on Pine Beach to remember the fallen men and women who have served our nation during the First and Second World War, the Korean War, and the war in Afganistan, Among the dignitaries in attendance were Mr. Michel Dion, political attaché representing Mr. François Ouimet, MNA for Marquette, and Ms Isabelle Morin, MP for NDG-Lachine-Dorval.

A 2-minute silence was observed in remembrance of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Bag Piper Wayne Stooner played several hymns and a group of students sang ”Soldier Cries” by Roland Majeau
