MONTREAL CARIBBEAN FASHION WEEK

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015 Gemma Raeburn-Baynes, CEO of Playmas Montreal Cultural Association announced the first-ever Montreal Caribbean Fashion Week from May 7 to May 9, 2015.
This year’s theme is “Chocolate, Wine and Fashion”, where everyone will be treated to delectable chocolates from the Caribbean, and spectacular Quebec wines each night while enjoying an extensive showcase of fashion designs from Barbados, Guyana, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, St. Kitts, Haiti, Guadeloupe, New York, U.S. Virgin Islands, Toronto and Montreal.
The event will begin with a Gala Red Carpet Opening Night on Thursday, May 7, featuring food, a fashion show, and live entertainment. May 8 is Fashion Fun Friday, featuring tomorrow’s trendsetters, and a hair design and beauty show at the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy of Concordia University – Loyola campus, 7141 Sherbrooke St. West. Saturday, May 9 is Fashion Night Out with Glitz & Glamour, an all-out glam party with a Silent Auction, held at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall, also at 7141 Sherbrooke St. West. An After Party with Juno Award Nominee Freddie James will follow the fashion show.
Proceeds of this high profile event will support the Sickle Cell Anemia Association of Québec.
