2014 Season for Montréal Ghosts: 15 years of thrills, 3 new characters, 1 special offer
Montreal Ghosts are celebrating their 15th anniversary this year and are planning another exciting season, from June 21th to November 1st at 8:30 p.m. It is now or never to try a Traditional Ghost Walk or Ghost Hunt for a unique chance to discover the spirits that haunt Old Montréal. Come hear sordid tales and gloomy details about the lives of witches, charlatans and old criminals hidden in the dark corners of the historic district.
As emphasized by the activity-planner and director at Guidatour Louise Hébert, these animated tours allow you to explore Old Montréal in a completely different way: “Whether with family, friends or colleagues, it’s an experience that’s both different and memorable. Also, because the stories are inspired by true facts and performed by professional actors from the Union des artistes, participants can really expect a high quality of entertainment that will give them the creeps!”, explains Ms. Hébert.
Choose between three thrilling activities or try them all! The Traditional Ghost Walk lets you discover the gruesome and sordid side of Old Montréal. Follow a storyteller and discover some of our more gruesome legends and stories, along with some anecdotes of unexplained phenomena. Visit some outdoor places where major events unfolded and which are possibly still haunted… With the Montréal’s Historical Crime Scenes Ghost Hunt, relive the most infamous crimes in Montréal’s history. The New France Ghost Hunt unveils many hidden secrets: hangings, torture, slavery, poverty, sorcery… Meet the characters from a bygone era that remain ever-present in our imaginations. And who knows, you might even come across one of the new characters during a Ghost Hunt, such as Marianne Sokoki-Ménard, a Métis woman, Barthine Lame, who was buried alive, or explorer Philippe Rougemont.
Activities are offered according to a predetermined schedule from June 21th to November 1st at 8:30 p.m. Visit the Montréal Ghosts website at www.fantommontreal.com to view the detailed calendar, including the Halloween Special on October 30th and 31st and November 1st, 2014.
