Piknic salutes local pioneers for Quebec’s national holiday

For Quebec’s national holiday festivities, Piknic carries on with its traditional Saint-Jean-Baptise Piknic that pays homage to the talent and hard work of local pioneers who laid the foundations of Montreal’s electronic music scene.

This year, we salute the 10th anniversary of Montreal’s premier techno family Archipel. For this festive occasion, guests from here, Ontario, Portugal, Great Britain and the USA will share both stages. Among this international gang, all present at Archipel’s request, note the rare Montreal appearance by American producer Time for Trees (aka Joshua Smith, one of the founding members of Colorado’s Communikey crew), and brace yourself for the party’s big finale that promises to be epic with an ultra-special live performance by Triode, featuring Montreal techno veterans Billy Dalessandro, Mateo Murphy, and Pheek.
