As part of the Dorval Novartis Concert Series, the Sultans of String will fascinate their audience with a mosaic’s sound of Spanish flamenco, Arabic folk, Cuban rhythms, and French manouche jazz on July 21, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at Pine Beach Park. These enthusiasts of traditional world music will celebrate with warmth and virtuosity their musical creativity and fusion.
This young group includes six-string violinist Chris McKhool (Pavlo), two high-level guitarists in Kevin Laliberté (Jesse Cook, The Chieftains) and Eddie Paton (Robert Michaels), a great bassist in Drew Birston (Chantal Kreviazuk), and a Cuban percussionist of extraordinary talent in Chendy Leon (Parachute Club, Alex Cuba).
Bring your own lawn chair to watch this performance comfortably or rent one on site for one dollar. In case of rain, the show will be held at St. Andrew and St. Mark Church (865 Lakeshore Drive), in Dorval. This evening is presented by the City of Dorval, in collaboration with Novartis Pharma Canada Inc.
