Only a few days to set off a new record and with an abundance of snow, Mont Saint-Sauveur will once again repeat it’s achievement of being the first resort in the province to open for the season! The mountain has been open since noon today and the hill 70 ouest is entirely open for the first skiers and boarders of the season!
The cold temperatures over the past two nights have permitted the snow guns to operate for 16 hours, setting a snow-making record for this time of the year. In fact, it’s the second earliest opening in the mountain’s history, October 18th 2009 being the earliest it has ever opened for it’s first visitors.
For over 20 years, Mont Saint-Sauveur has a snow-making system among the most sophisticated in the industry, enabling them to open their trails first and to offer the longest ski season in Eastern Canada! Once again this year, the group has invested close to a half a million dollars to increase the number of snow guns throughout all it’s resorts.
Skiable terrain will open depending on weather conditions over the next couple of days. A regular update on conditions and open trails will be available on http://www.montsaintsauveur.com/
