In the spirit of Just For Laughs’ hugely popular Ethnic Show, VMG Entertainment presents for one night only – November 12 at 8:45 p.m. – the 12th edition of the Italian Bad Boyz of Comedy show that’s entitled “Ethnic Invasion”. It will take place at the Plaza Centreville, located at 777 Robert Bourassa Boulevard in downtown Montreal.


Hosted by 925 The Beat’s morning show co-host Cousin Vinny, the Italian Bad Boyz of Comedy XII will feature two hours filled with top notch comedy provided by five comics from the U.S. and Canada who represent a host of different ethnic backgrounds. The line-up includes Just For Laughs veteran Angelo Tsarouchas, Ahmed Ahmed, Ruben Paul, as well as Montreal comics Gina Durante and Joe Cacchione.


Tickets for the show is $100 each, which includes an Italian style buffet dinner starting at 6 p.m., followed by the show and then dancing with music provided by Santo Ficara’s Ti-Amo Entertainment Group. KidCon, the ultimate fun fest for kids ages 3-12 and their families, returns to Stade Uniprix, located at 285 Gary Carter Street), for its second edition on October 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.


Besides the return of such popular features as the costume parade, inflatable rides and games, Mad Science, the crafts station, a board game area and a chance to preview some of the latest and greatest new toys, the 2016 KidCon will introduce a whole series of new features and activities during the two-day event.


Visitors shouldn’t miss these new features: a special show and meet & greet to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the popular cartoon character Caillou; a special live show with Thomas the Tank Engine; a virtual reality experience at the Video Game Zone; skateboard demonstrations and activities at the SPIN Skatepark’s half-pipe; a jewellery workshop; a virtual reality backstage tour of YTV’s popular series “The Zone”; and meet and greets with such popular characters as Cookie Monster, Elmo, Abby Cadabby from “Sesame Street”, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Chase and Marshall from “Paw Patrol” and Montreal Canadiens mascot Youppi!

For their 58h annual fundraising event, the Montreal Lakeshore University Women’s Club (MLUWC) will be featuring the Fab Four themselves – well, actually – “Replay: A Tribute to the Beatles”, as guests will take a special magical mystery tour filled with the Beatles’ greatest hits on October 26, 7:30 p.m., at the Louise Chalmers Theatre, which is located at John Rennie High School, 501 St. Jean Boulevard in Pointe Claire.


Tickets cost $35 each, and will benefit the MLUWC’s ongoing mission of influencing public policy via advocacy, as well as offering scholarships and bursaries to deserving women who reside in the West Island, so that they can pursue their post-secondary education.
