Matthew Peca – The Canadians announced Sunday they have agreed on the terms of a two-year contract with free agent Matthew Peca.
The agreement will bring the 1.3 million per season to the Petawawa, Ontario native.
Peca spent most of the 2017-2018 season with the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, scoring 13 goals and 46 points in 63 games. He also added three goals and nine points in six playoff games.
The Quinnipiac University product also played 10 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring two goals and scoring five points.
In 20 career NHL games – all with the Lightning – Peca have three goals and seven points.
He was selected in the seventh round – 201st overall – by the Lightning in 2011.
