The holiday season is a real tradition at Tremblant, where it’s all about sharing and creating special moments. Picture a mountain of ski trails, a long lineup of outdoor activities, a twinkling village where the mood is cordial and casual, colourful pedestrian laneweays, firepits on public squares, festive decorations and a new entertainment concept that lets young ones have fun while the older set is young at heart again. Here are eight ways to make your getaway the best ever:
SHARE THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS – December 23, 24 & 25
La Famille Grelot gaily meanders down the village laneways, offering gifts of song, folk shows, acrobatics, photo sessions and so much more! December 24, Santa Claus joins them before handing out presents to good boys and girls who come to meet him, on the Place Saint-Bernard stage.
ENJOY QUÉBEC FOLKLORE – December 22 & 29, January 3
Visitors from every horizon are sure to enjoy joining a series of activities along one central theme: LumberJacks & Jills! Impossible to not do a little jig to 100% pure Québécois tunes like swigne la bacaisse dans l’fond d’la boîte à bois, with happy hosts decked out in their checked shirts, a folk musician and the classic group rigodon played on wood spoons!
DISCOVER INSPIRING LEGENDS – December 26 & 30, January 4
Guided by coureurs des bois, families discover stories that have been handed down for generations, on an interactive treasure-hunt type circuit brimming with local lore and legends.
BACK TO THE ’80S – December 27 & January 1
In the 1980s, way before technology, kids spent long hours playing outside, building forts, bundled up in their neon snow suits. This very special day takes us back to that festive time when Quebeckers celebrated winter under the snow, to the sound of synthesizers.
CELEBRATING OUR WINTER WONDERLAND – December 28 & January 2
Hosted by le Roi et la Reine des Neiges, Tremblant transforms itself into a magical winter wonderland, with loads of fun and on-snow activities like a parent-child toboggan race, an immense bouncy glacier on Place Saint-Bernard and a face painting artist who creates magical glittery stars on sweet faces.
RING IN THE NEW YEAR IN GRAND STYLE – December 31
Decked out in their finest fluorescent neon gear and accessories, visitors are invited to come ring in the New Year in grand style, in the pedestrian village! As well, join or watch the Torchlight Parade before rendezvousing on Place Saint-Bernard, transformed into a starlight disco for the occasion! Dancing continues until the twelve strokes of midnight and beyond, when revellers are treated to fabulous fireworks marking the arrival of a fresh new year.
HAVE FUN ‒ REGARDLESS OF MOTHER NATURE!
Many are the indoor activities guaranteeing good times, regardless of the weather! Budding artists create their own t-shirt, stuffed animal or pottery at T Bar, Univers Toutou and Studio Créatif, while adventurers go for escape games and laser tag at Mission Liberté and Mission Laser. The whole family is sure to enjoy Aquaclub la Source with its pool, indoor/outdoor hot tubs and fitness room. For grown-up fun, head over to Casino de Mont-Tremblant, the place par excellence for adults to dial up the fun. Not to forget the pedestrian village’s string of boutiques, art galleries, health and wellness addresses, cafes, restaurants and bars!
