Great news! You still have time to visit the oldest lavender farm in Quebec : Bleu Lavande this season. Situated in the heart of the Eastern Townships and facing Applegrove Hill in the village of Fitch Bay, the fields of Bleu Lavande are rich with history and there is plenty to do once you get there, other than taking your own picture in the lavender fields of course (and that is a must) !
Bleu Lavande fields come to life in the summer, offering numerous activities throughout the week guiding you in the discovery of the beauty and therapeutic virtues of lavender. On Wednesdays, you can start the day off right with a yoga class in the middle of the lavender fields followed by an outdoor massage and a healthy picnic. The yoga class is included with the entrance ticket fee (10$) on Wednesdays.
On Mondays, get creative as art lovers will discover the virtuosity of local artists, who will exhibit their works and create a few on site and every weekend, it’s family time at Bleu Lavande ! Educazoo counsellors, stands with domestic and exotic animals, ferret races, & colouring activities are to expect at the farm. Face painting for kids and tastings of Bleu Lavande culinary products are also on the program.
There is also a boutique, outdoor massage tables overlooking the lavender fields, free guided tours to learn more about the art of cultivating lavender and a restaurant on site. Lavender season is coming to an end, so choose your date and head to Fitch Bay for a day of discovery and gorgeous sceneries.
