Government to announce new Quebec COVID restrictions

The Quebec Premier has called an urgent press conference for 6 P.M. to announce the new measures and restrictions of the current situation in Quebec. The coronavirus is still spreading across the province at an alarming rate.

As of yesterday Quebec has reported its highest reported new cases of 2,736 since last January when Quebec was deep into its second wave. Thursday was 2,736 and Wednesday 2,386 new cases.

The Quebec Premier Francois Legault tweeted, “I will hold a news conference tonight (December 16th) at 6 P.M. to announce important measures due to the increase of COVID cases and the new Omicron variant.”
