Already a 3rd location for Le Petit Sao

Le Petit Sao, which means “little star” in Vietnamese, opened a first location on Nun’s Island in 2010. As the owner says «then, we opened half a location in Montreal. Our Atwater’s Market counter was a test for us. We wanted to see if the Montreal clientele would love our food and concept before opening a “seating” restaurant.»  This day has now come as the Vietnamese-inspired restaurant opened a new location in Pointe-Saint-Charles last week. The concept is simple : a homemade and fresh menu created by chef/owner Lise Dang, a family concept (her husband is co-owner and her mother is still cooking) and : an Instagrammable decor.

The owners are going back to their roots with Le Petit Sao Pointe-Saint-Charles by focusing more on the values they hold dear. Guests will still be able to enjoy the staples of Vietnamese cuisine but will offer more vegetarian meal options that are equally gourmet and delicious. This location also responds better to the demand of its lunch customers, they can now order their meals online to reduce waiting time and allow them to enjoy more of their lunch hour. The Southwest borough is an evolving neighborhood with a rather young population always looking for the new “hot spot” for their 5 à 7. In order to meet the needs of this clientele, this branch will offer table service with draft beer and a small cocktail and wine menu and takeout orders for those who want to stay in. Le Petit Sao will keep its DNA while adapting to the neighborhood with brunch to come, happy hour and small bistro-restaurant at night!

What’s on the menu: the famous Pho soups,  Goi salads, Nuocs drinks, spring rolls, grills and the inevitable Banh Mi. Le Petit Sao also specialized in colorful “Sao bowls”. Pictured: the chicken & shrimps bowl.
