How to use your iPhone to its fullest extent

How to use your iPhone

Millions of people have iPhones or other smartphones these days, but most people use their iPhones primarily for texting or games. In reality, your iPhone is an “omni-tool”, capable of carrying out multiple functions simultaneously and performing tons of extra tasks that you might not even know about. Let’s break down how you can use your iPhone to its fullest extent by showing you some of its lesser-known features and tricks.

Use it as a tool

Whether it’s by using the calculator function or the compass function, your phone doubles as a number of physical and practical tools that can get you out of tight spots when you’re camping or trying to finish a job at work.

There are also lesser-known tools packed into your iPhone’s software and functions. For instance, your iPhone can also double as a leveling tool. Just go to your compass app, swipe left, and your phone will work as a level that can tell you whether a surface is totally flat or if it is slightly tilted in one direction or another. This tool, as an example, could be really useful when trying to mount a shelf correctly or hang pictures on your walls.

Use it as an entertainment device

You can also use your iPhone as an entertainment device for multiple people at once instead of just yourself. For example, screen mirroring iPhone is an excellent trick that allows you to stream video footage or pictures straight from your phone to your main TV screen. Let’s say that you throw a party and you want to show everyone a funny video. It’s much better to stream that footage to your TV using the screen mirroring function rather than having everyone crowd around your tiny iPhone device at once.

Your iPhone can also stream music straight to wireless Bluetooth speakers or sound systems. This allows you to select what songs or playlists you want to blast during the party without having to go back to your desktop or laptop every time you want to make a switch or turn up the volume.

Use it as a daily helper

Your iPhone is perhaps best appreciated for its role as a daily helper and scheduling assistant. Many people already use the calendar and notebook apps to keep track of their to-do lists and to make sure that they never forget appointments with both their professional colleagues and their friends and families.

However, your iPhone can go even further. For instance, it can help you remember where you last parked your car through a special widget in the Maps app, or it can send you notifications, both on the screen and through flashing your flashlight multiple times if you need to respond quickly to a text or phone call in a business meeting.

All in all, there’s no real limit to what the iPhone can do. It’s already one of the most versatile and remarkable devices ever created. We’re excited to see what new functions and features come packed into new iPhone devices in the near future.
