West Island Blues Festival 14th year


West Island Blues Festival – The West Island Blues Festival will be celebrating its 14th anniversary on June 17, 2017 with the traditional outdoor concert at the Dollard des Ormeaux Park, 12010 de Salaberry Boulevard in Dollard des Ormeaux (free admission and free parking). Over the past thirteen years, funds raised from our events, over $120,000, have assisted several community organizations in the West Island including: Alzheimer Groupe (AGI), the West Island Black Community Association, Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest de l’ÃŽle (AJOI), the West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped, the West Island Women’s Shelter, the West Island Palliative Care Residence, Call of the Wild, the Portage Foundation and the Arthritis West Island Self Help Group. Each of these non-profit organizations has benefited from our endeavours.

The beneficiaries this year will be: Alzheimer Groupe (AGI), the West Island Black Community Association, Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest de l’ÃŽle (AJOI) and Literacy Unlimited.

On May 25, 2017 we will be holding our yearly VIP fundraising indoor concert, featuring the Blues Band, Brian Greenway’s Blues Bus. Brian Greenway is most recognized for playing with the band April Wine. VIP tickets are $100. 00 each (tax deductible).

This event will be held at the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre, 13850 Gouin Boulevard, West, Pierrefonds. (Cocktails 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and show begins at 8 pm).
